According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, 2022 UEFA Europa Conference League winners Roma are targeting Nigeria and Nottingham Forest's Ola Aina, a player with ties to head coach Ivan Juric from their time together at Torino.
Aina, who joined Nottingham Forest on a free transfer in the summer of 2023, could be involved in a potential swap deal that would see AS Roma’s Nicola Zalewski head to the Premier League big spenders.
Nottingham Forest reportedly value Aina between €10 million and €15 million, a fee AS Roma may find appealing for the versatile Nigerian defender.

Aina undecided about future despite great start to 2024/2025 season
Ola Aina has quickly become a key figure at Nottingham Forest, playing in all seven of their Premier League matches this season. His solid defensive performances have contributed to Forest's strong start, with the team sitting 10th in the table, just four points away from a European competition spot.
The Tricky Trees recently extended Aina’s contract to keep him for the current season, but the club is now seeking a longer-term agreement.
In an interview with BBC Radio Nottinghamshire, Aina discussed the team’s progress but did not give an hint as regards his future.
“All I can say is that I'm really happy at Forest right now. It's a fantastic club, I feel at home, and yeah, I'm just building—the club is building too. Let's see what will happen in the future,” Aina remarked.
