Ajax manager Francesco Farioli commended Chuba Akpom for his exceptional resilience and positive attitude during the team's impressive 2-0 victory over Feyenoord at De Kuip Stadium on Wednesday night.
Despite being included in the Italian manager's starting XI alongside Wout Weghorst and Mika Godts in the attacking lineup, Akpom did not find the back of the net or register an assist.
However, his overall performance and contribution were impressive enough for Farioli to praise his effort and resilience.

The former Middlesbrough forward has seen his game time limited due to the availability of Brobbey, Weghorst, and emerging talent Godts.

In the aftermath of the game, Farioli took a moment to commend Akpom for his exceptional effort and positive mindset.
“I really believe that today's result also has to do with Sunday and with the mentality of the players, who really push hard and are ready when their moment comes.
“Akpom: how many games has he started? And tonight he played a fantastic game with a great attitude and spirit,” Farioli said as per Voetbalprimeur.

In the match, Akpom played 85 minutes before being substituted for Anton Gaaei. He recorded one shot that was blocked, had 28 touches, and completed nine out of 12 passes for an accuracy rate of 75%.
