Following his historic senior appearance debut with Inter Milan on Sunday, the agent of Nigerian teenager Ebenezer Akinsanmiro refused to rule out transfer rumours about Real Madrid

Akinsanmiro has solidified his place in the books of Nigerian talents that made it to the top at the San Siro after debuting in their 4-0 away win at Lecce in Serie A this weekend.

Akinsanmiro is the latest Nigerian talent to break through at Inter Milan and made a 76th-minute substitute appearance in the encounter, replacing Davide Frattesi, helping the team to secure all three points.

More attention is currently being paid to the 19-year-old, who was a former academy player of Beyond Limits, an outfit that belongs to NPFL side Remo Stars.

Agent Oscar Damiani, while not dismissing the possibility, subtly hinted at the speculation surrounding Akinsanmiro's future by refraining from outright denial of a potential move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

In a chat with FCInterNews, Damiani spoke highly of Inter Milan's rising star, acknowledging the intense interest from clubs like Real Madrid and Benfica in securing the 19-year-old Nigerian midfielder's signature.

When he was quizzed about the drama surrounding his transfer to Inter Milan and if Real Madrid were actually on Akinsanmiro’s trail, Damiani said, “A lot of clubs wanted him.

“But Inter are very good at working with young players. and they really worked to convince him to join.”

Since his move to Inter Milan, Akinsanmiro has been honing his skills with Inter's Primavera team.

Akinsanmiro has high potential

Reflecting on Akinsanmiro's debut performance, Damiani highlighted the invaluable experience gained by the midfielder, who had the opportunity to share the pitch with seasoned professionals in Serie A. 

He described his display as undoubtedly a big step and said that the player has got a lot of potential.

“He’s an interesting young guy. He’s very intelligent, a very good player,” Damiani said

He emphasized the club's dedication to nurturing young talent and providing them with opportunities to thrive at the highest level.

“I met him at the tournament in Viareggio, Inter did well to sign him. And it wasn’t easy, considering his non-EU status,” the agent remarked.

“Congratulations to the Nerazzurri, who signed him. And to the player, who has been training and growing well. Then when you play with senior players, you can only grow.”

Despite transfer interest from multiple clubs, Akinsanmiro's decision to join Inter speaks to his confidence in the club's vision and commitment to his development.
