Alex Iwobi is a Nigerian international footballer known for his versatility, technical ability, and relentless work ethic. Born in Lagos on May 3, 1996, he moved to England at the age of four, where he developed his football skills in Arsenal’s famous Hale End Academy. He made his senior debut for the Gunners in 2015 under Arsène Wenger and quickly established himself as a promising young talent.

During his time at Arsenal, he won the FA Cup in 2017, FA Community Shield twice (2015/2016 & 2017/2018), and played a crucial role in their Europa League campaign before securing a £34 million move to Everton in 2019, making him Nigeria’s most expensive footballer at the time.

At Everton, Iwobi transitioned from a winger to a central midfielder, becoming an essential figure in the squad. His vision, dribbling, and tireless running made him a fan favorite. In 2023, he moved to Fulham, where he continues to impress in the Premier League.

For Nigeria, he has been a key player since his debut in 2015, famously scoring the goal that secured the Super Eagles' qualification for the 2018 World Cup. He is also the nephew of Nigerian football legend Jay-Jay Okocha.

Off the pitch, Iwobi has explored music, performing under the name “17.” He has released multiple singles, blending Afro-Swing and Rap, reflecting his African heritage. Despite his achievements, inconsistency in front of goal has been a criticism, but his playmaking skills and work rate remain invaluable for both club and country.
