Alex Iwobi continued his rich vein of form as Fulham claimed a 2-1 win over already relegated Southampton at St Mary’s on Saturday.
The Super Eagles star played a crucial role, setting up the equaliser in the 72nd minute after Jacob Stephens had fired the hosts ahead early.
The assist was Iwobi’s 15th direct goal contribution in the Premier League this season, with nine goals and six assists.

It means the 28-year-old has now been involved in 31% of Fulham’s league goals, a telling measure of his growing influence under Marco Silva.
Alex Iwobi & Bassey's influence told in numbers
Iwobi was lively throughout his 86 minutes on the pitch, registering 62 touches. He completed 40 of his 47 passes at an 85% success rate, although his delivery from wide areas was inconsistent, with just one successful cross out of nine attempts.
The Nigerian also had one shot, which failed to trouble the goalkeeper, and he was unable to complete his only attempted dribble.

In duels, the Hale End Academy graduate struggled, losing all his ground and aerial contests.
At the back, Calvin Bassey delivered another solid defensive showing. The Super Eagles defender recorded 65 touches and completed 45 of 51 passes, boasting an 88% pass accuracy.
His defensive instincts were sharp as he made three clearances, and he held his own in the air, winning two of his three aerial duels. On the ground, however, he managed to win just one of three duels.
The victory keeps Fulham’s momentum going as the season draws to a close, with their Nigerian duo once again proving pivotal.
