Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen provided a crucial assist as Galatasaray secured a 3-1 victory over PAOK Salonika in the UEFA Europa League on Wednesday night.

The reigning CAF Player of the Year, who joined the Turkish side on loan from Italian side Napoli, continued his impressive form, contributing to his team's win in what was his third assist since joining late in the summer window.

The first half ended goalless, but the breakthrough came early in the second half when PAOK's Baba Rahman scored an own goal in the 48th minute to put Galatasaray ahead.

However, PAOK responded in the 67th minute when Giannis Konstantelias equalized for the Greek side.

In the 76th minute, Osimhen’s tenacity paid off as he provided a precise assist for Yunus Akgün, allowing Galatasaray to retake the lead.

Mauro Icardi, who came on for the Nigeria international, then sealed the victory with a third goal in added time.

Victor Osimhen was a constant threat to the PAOK defense, playing 78 minutes of high-intensity football.

He registered two shots on target, with four total shots, and had one blocked shot.

His passing accuracy was 67%, with 7 out of 12 passes completed, and he created two key passes, including one big chance.

He also demonstrated his aerial prowess, winning 2 out of 3 aerial duels.

However, he struggled slightly on the ground, winning only 1 out of 5 ground duels.

With 25 touches in the game, Osimhen’s contribution was instrumental in securing Galatasaray’s win.
