Ademola Lookman continues to impress in Serie A, earning the prestigious Atalanta Player of the Month award for September.

Fans of the club voted for Lookman in the “Black-and-Blue Oscars,” where he beat out stiff competition from Lazar Samardžić and Mateo Retegui who came in second and third respectively.

The 26-year-old forward has been a key player for Atalanta this season, delivering standout performances that have solidified his place among Serie A’s top talents.

Lookman’s contribution was critical in Atalanta’s thrilling comeback against Fiorentina, where he assisted the equalizer and scored the decisive goal to secure a 2-1 victory.

His impressive display earned him the Serie A MVP award for that match.

Currently, Lookman has registered two goals and two assists in Serie A this season, as he continues to influence games.

His form extends to the UEFA Champions League as well, where he has already notched up one goal and one assist in two matches.

Many football pundits have been quick to tip the Nigerian forward as a strong contender for the prestigious African Footballer of the Year award for his heroics for Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations.
