Former Ajax winger and Nigeria international Tijani Babangida has questioned Victor Boniface’s reported move to Al-Nassr, suggesting the Super Eagles forward is making the switch too soon.
The 24-year-old is reportedly on the verge of joining the Saudi Pro League side, with Al-Nassr reaching a €60 million agreement with his current club, Bayer Leverkusen.
Additionally, reports indicate that the Nigerian forward has successfully completed his medical examination on Tuesday evening and has agreed to personal terms, including a lucrative annual net salary of €15 million.

While acknowledging Boniface’s immense talent, Babangida believes he still had several years to compete at the highest level in Europe before heading to Saudi Arabia.
Babangida: Boniface’s move to Al-Nassr could impact his European legacy
In an exclusive interview with Africa Foot, former Tijani Babangida expressed concerns over Victor Boniface's imminent move to Al-Nassr, suggesting the transfer may have come too early for the talented forward.
“Listen, this is not a criticism of Victor (Boniface), because he is such a talented boy, who is capable of making personal decisions. But I think it happened a little too early.
“Given his immense talent, for me, he still had more than seven years at the highest level in the best European clubs,” he said.

“Al-Nassr is a big club, but I still think he is too young to play in Saudi Arabia. I think that will have an impact on his legacy.
“Don’t get me wrong, now that he's leaving, I hope he does well there, but for me, he still had work to do at the highest level in Europe,” he added.
“A little patience would have gotten him an even bigger contract with an even bigger paycheck, because he's very talented, but I wish him nothing but the best.”
