In a thrilling Bundesliga match on Sunday, Bayer Leverkusen secured a hard-fought 4-3 victory over VfB Stuttgart, with Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface playing a crucial role in the comeback.

Stuttgart took an early lead in the 15th minute through Ermedin Demirovic, delighting the home crowd.

The situation worsened for Leverkusen when Nick Woltemade doubled Stuttgart's advantage early in the second half, making it 2-0.

However, Leverkusen began their fightback in the 56th minute with a goal from Jeremie Frimpong, reducing the deficit to 2-1.

The momentum shifted briefly as Stuttgart restored their two-goal lead when Granit Xhaka scored an own goal, making it 3-1.

Victor Boniface entered the game in the 57th minute and immediately made an impact, causing problems for the Stuttgart defence.

Leverkusen's resilience paid off as Piero Hincapie scored to make it 3-2. The comeback was complete when Boniface's cross into the Stuttgart box resulted in an own goal by Angelo Stiller, levelling the score at 3-3.

In a dramatic finish, Patrick Schick scored the winner deep into added time, giving Leverkusen their first lead of the game.

Boniface also came close to scoring, hitting the crossbar in the final moments, but his contributions were instrumental in securing all three points for his team.

In duels, he lost his only aerial contest but won one of the two ground duels he engaged in.

His impact helped Leverkusen complete a remarkable comeback from two goals down to secure a 4-3 victory over Stuttgart.
