Nigeria striker Gift Orban was the star of the show as he scored his first goals of the new season, helping Lyon come from behind to defeat Strasbourg 4-3 in an entertaining Ligue 1 game.
Orban, who has struggled to find his form since moving to France in January, showcased his talent with a stunning performance that turned the game in Lyon's favour.
The striker has been rumoured to be on the radar of English side Sunderland this summer, as it seemed likely he would leave Lyon.

A poor start by Lyon saw Strasbourg take an early lead, and despite an equaliser in first half added time, continued their ascendancy in the second period, scoring two quickfire goals after the break to establish a 3-1 lead.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles brought the home side back into the game with a goal in the 61st minute, reducing the deficit to 3-2. It was then that the match became the Gift Orban show.
The Nigerian forward, who came on for Abner Vinicius in the 59th minute, made an immediate impact.
Just two minutes after coming on, Orban latched onto an Alexandre Lacazette assist and finished deftly to bring Lyon back to 3-3.

The equalizer seemed to energize Lyon, and Orban wasn't done yet. In the 72nd minute, he struck again, this time putting his team ahead for the first time in the game.
His brace not only gave Lyon a 4-3 lead but also completed a remarkable comeback win for his team.
Interestingly, Orban has not been included in the Nigeria squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.
Although he was invited for the AFCON qualifier against São Tomé and Príncipe in 2023, he has yet to make an appearance for the Super Eagles.
