The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon suffered a 2-0 loss to Nigeria's Super Eagles in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2024) on Saturday January 27.
They were on a quest to win a sixth Nations Cup title but fell short in the Round of 16.
Cameroon player ratings vs Nigeria
These are our player ratings for the Indomitable Lions:
Fabrice Ondoa – 6.0
Although Fabrice Ondoa prevented the Super Eagles from scoring more than two goals, conceding twice in the same game isn't a great look for any goalkeeper.
Also, the Nimes shot-stopper probably could've saved Ademola Lookman's first goal.
Christopher Wooh – 6.2
Committed five fouls and lost possession nine times. The Stade Rennais player didn't really hold his own against Nigeria's forwards.
Oumar Gonzalez – 6.0
Granted, Oumar Gonzalez did his fair share with five clearances and four tackles. However, the Indomitable Lions fell behind because of his mistake.

Jean-Charles Castelletto – 6.6
With seven clearances, and an interception, Jean-Charles Castelletto looked like Cameroon's best defender on the field.
Nouhou Tolo – 7.0
Nouhou Tolo contested five ground duels, winning four of them. He was also 2 for 2 on aerial duels. The Seattle Sounders player also had four clearances and a blocked shot.
Olivier Ntcham – 6.5
Although Olivier Ntcham was efficient with his passing, he did nothing noteworthy in 90 minutes of play.

Frank Anguissa – 7.0
Frank Anguissa was all over the place, with 75 touches in 90 minutes. He completed 91 percent of his passes (51/55) and was fouled five times whilst registering three clearances and an interception.
Nicolas Ngamaleu
Nicolas Ngamaleu won eight of eleven contested ground duels, with two interceptions, two tackles and a clearance.
He also drew four fouls whilst completing two of three dribble attempts.
Georges-Kévin N'Koudou – 6.2
Georges-Kévin N'Koudou was 0 for 3 in dribble attempts. Even though he played for 90 minutes, the Damac player did not register a single shot.
It's also worth mentioning that N'Koudou clashed with Nwabali, injuring the Super Eagles goalkeeper.

Frank Magri – 6.2
Frank Magri's performance was a bit disappointing for someone who played centre-forward. The Toulouse player struggled against Nigeria's defence, as one of his two shots was blocked, and the other went off target.
Karl Toko Ekambi – 6.2
In 89 minutes of play, Karl Toko Ekambi did not register a single shot. Even though the Abha player had just 30 touches, he lost possession nine times.
