Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke came off the bench to score the winner as Sevilla secured a 2-1 victory over Real Valladolid on Tuesday night in La Liga.
The Nigeria international, who was introduced in the 61st minute in place of veteran Jesus Navas, provided the decisive moment, waltzing past three Valladolid defenders to slot the ball past goalkeeper Karl Hein in the 89th minute, ensuring Sevilla claimed all three points.
Sevilla had taken the lead just before halftime when Gerard Peque Fernandez finished off a Dodi Lukebakio assist.
However, Valladolid leveled the match in the 56th minute through Kike Perez, setting the stage for Ejuke’s late heroics.

Sevilla finished the game with 10 men after Marcao was sent off for a second yellow card, but Chidera Ejuke's goal was enough to lift the Andalusian side to 12th place in La Liga, with eight points from seven games.

Chidera Ejuke made an impactful appearance for Sevilla, coming off the bench to score the winning goal in their 2-1 victory over Real Valladolid. The Nigerian winger played just 29 minutes but made his presence felt, showing great composure and skill on the ball.
Ejuke had 28 touches during his time on the pitch, keeping Sevilla’s attack alive with his creativity and sharp movement.
He completed 13 out of 18 passes, which gave him a pass accuracy of 72%. His intelligent play was highlighted by a key pass that created a big chance, as well as one accurate cross.
The 26-year-old also displayed defensive application, winning one aerial duel and using his dribbling skills effectively, completing a successful dribble that helped maintain pressure on Valladolid's backline.
Despite taking two shots off target, it was his single on-target effort that made the difference, securing all three points for Sevilla with his first La Liga goal of the season.
