Samuel Chukwueze's stint with AC Milan could be nearing an unexpected end, as reports suggest the Super Eagles winger might be on his way out during the January transfer window.
Since joining the Italian giants from Villarreal in the summer of 2023, Chukwueze has experienced a challenging stint with the Rossoneri, struggling to cement his place as a regular starter.
During the previous season under former manager Stefano Pioli, the 25-year-old made over 30 appearances, primarily as a substitute, playing a supporting role to American forward Christian Pulisic.
The situation remained unchanged under Milan's recently departed manager, Paulo Fonseca, and his successor, Sergio Conceição, further fuelling speculation about his imminent departure.

According to Italian outlet Sportmediaset, the Portuguese tactician would not oppose Chukwueze's departure from Milan, as the manager appears to have excluded him from his tactical plans.
The report also suggests that Conceição is frustrated with his squad's performances in Serie A this season and is calling for reinforcements, with Manchester City defender Kyle Walker reportedly on his radar.
Chukwueze could be among several players sacrificed to fund new arrivals, with Emerson Royal, Strahinja Pavlovic, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek also reportedly under consideration.
Currently sidelined due to injury, the Nigeria international has featured in 22 matches for Milan across all competitions this season, netting three goals, providing one assist, and averaging 47 minutes per game.
In recent weeks, Chukwueze has been linked with several undisclosed clubs in the Saudi Pro League. While no formal offers have been made yet, the club is reportedly open to his departure, raising questions about his future under the current management.
