Chukwueze: Ten Hag Man Utd sacking sets wheels in motion for Premier League transfer

Samuel Chukwueze’s brief stint with AC Milan may be nearing its end, with Fulham, Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and West Ham United reportedly interested in luring the Super Eagles winger to the English Premier League.

Following a less-than-stellar debut season with the Rossoneri, Milan's January transfer plans could be impacted by potential managerial shifts at Manchester United, particularly with the departure of Erik ten Hag.

Chukwueze arrived at Milan from Villarreal for €21.1 million in July 2023, bringing high hopes following a strong spell in La Liga. But with only three goals and three assists in his first season, the 25-year-old has struggled to find consistency in Serie A.

This campaign, he’s managed just a goal and an assist in ten outings, sparking talks of a departure. For Milan, his departure would open the door to bring in Manchester United’s Antony, a move made possible if United’s managerial situation leads to restructuring in January.

Villa’s Emery connection leads Chukwueze race, Fulham offers Super Eagles connection

According to CaughtOffside, the former FIFA U-17 World Cup winner is being courted by the likes of Fulham, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Aston Villa, and West Ham United.

Aston Villa, led by former Villarreal boss Unai Emery, may hold an edge due to Emery’s history with Chukwueze. Villa’s promising campaign and Emery’s influence could be pivotal in swaying the winger towards the Midlands.

However, Fulham presents a compelling alternative, with Super Eagles teammates Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi already at Craven Cottage. The presence of compatriots could play a key role, as the West London club eyes Chukwueze to bolster their attacking ranks.

Meanwhile, Wolves and West Ham are also monitoring the situation, though their current managerial uncertainties might weaken their bids.
