Super Eagles defender, Olisa Ndah, has clinched another MTN 8 title with Orlando Pirates, marking the club's third consecutive victory in the prestigious South African competition.

The 26-year-old defender, who is the substantive captain of the Buccaneers, was unable to feature in the final due to an injury sustained in their last league game.

Despite his absence, Orlando Pirates triumphed with a 3-1 win over Stellenbosch in an entertaining final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban, on Saturday.

Ndah watched from the sidelines as his teammates battled back from an early deficit to secure the victory.

Stellenbosch opened the scoring, but Pirates showed resilience, overturning the early setback to claim their third MTN 8 title in as many years.

Man of the Match, Thabiso Sesane, dedicated his award to the injured captain, acknowledging Ndah's significant influence on the team.

Although Ndah's injury ruled him out of the final and the upcoming Nigeria versus Libya match in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, his contributions throughout the season were instrumental in helping Pirates reach the final.

The former Akwa United defender has been a key figure for the club, and his leadership continues to be felt even when he is not on the pitch.

With this win, Orlando Pirates cemented their dominance in the MTN 8 tournament, becoming the first team to successfully defend the title twice in a row, adding another silverware to their collection
