Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers put on a dazzling display for Scottish giants Rangers, scoring twice in their 6-0 victory over Ross County in league action on Saturday.

The Nigeria international was instrumental in the dominant win, showcasing his goal-scoring prowess and form since the season started.

This season, Dessers has been on fire, finding the back of the net seven times so far.

His brace against Ross County marks his fifth goal in the last five games, a remarkable run that has undoubtedly caught the attention of Rangers' fans.

Rangers boss impressed with Cyriel Dessers' input

Rangers' manager Philippe Clement was full of praise for the striker, highlighting the significant improvement in his game, saying, “I am very glad about that with, for example, the two goals of Cyriel [Dessers].

“I think it is a big difference from six months ago, the way he runs now, how he finds the spaces. He deserves it; he is doing a very good job.

Dessers has been heavily maligned by the Rangers faithful for a perceived lack of consistency and killer instinct over the course of his time at Ibrox.

However, following a full preseason, the 29-year-old is, in Clement's estimation, only getting better.

“This is the best Cyriel that I have seen in his career until now, and he is somebody who is hungry to play for his shirt and someone who is also hungry to learn to become better.

“He is not 20 years old any more, but he stays hungry to learn all the details. You see in several details he is becoming better and better by doing it, by watching the videos, and by talking about it,” the manager added.
