Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers was on target in Rangers 2-1 win over Motherwell at Hampden Park, where Rangers temporarily hosted the match due to renovations at Ibrox.
Dessers had his first chance at goal in the 11th minute.
Vaclav Cerny, on his debut, slipped a well-timed pass to Scott Wright, who rounded Motherwell's goalkeeper, Aston Oxborough but McGinn cleared of the line and Nigerian striker's follow-up shot was saved by the goalkeeper.

Rangers would not, however, have to wait long to break the deadlock.
Cyriel Dessers sends Rangers on their way
Just two minutes later, in the 13th minute, Cyriel Dessers opened the scoring, latching onto a knockdown by Mohamed Diomande from Ridvan Yilmaz’s cross.
The Super Eagles striker made no mistake, slotting the ball home from close range for his second goal in as many games, following his midweek strike in the Champions League qualifier against Dynamo Kiev.
Motherwell responded quickly, and in the 17th minute, a mix-up in the Rangers defense led to an own goal by Robin Propper, making his first start for the club, bringing the score to 1-1.
Despite the setback, Rangers regained the lead in the 24th minute through debutant Vaclav Cerny.
The Czech winger, on loan from Wolfsburg, marked his first start with a stunning finish from the edge of the box, restoring Rangers' advantage.

The second half saw Rangers largely controlling the game, with the hosts pushing for a third goal while Motherwell focused on keeping them at bay.
With this win, Rangers now turn their attention to their crucial European clash next week, as they prepare for the second leg of their Champions League qualifier against Dynamo Kiev, following a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
