Both players featured from the start as their teams looked to climb higher in the league standings.

Atalanta dominated the early exchanges but struggled to find a way through a resolute Lazio defence that held firm throughout the first half.

The pattern continued after the break, but it was the visitors who found the breakthrough.

Dele-Bashiru, making a rare start, set up Gustav Isaksen to score what turned out to be the winning goal.

The goal sparked Atalanta into action, but despite their pressure, they couldn’t break down Lazio’s solid backline.

Lazio held on to seal a valuable win on the road and a memorable night for Dele-Bashiru.

He made one key pass in the game but failed in all four dribble attempts. Lookman did not contest any aerial duels and failed to win any of the ground duels he was involved in.

In contrast, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru had a much better outing. The Lazio midfielder started the game and played the full 90 minutes.

He completed 14 of his 19 passes, recording a 74% pass accuracy. Dele-Bashiru also registered two key passes and provided the assist for the winning goal.

The 24-year-old had 33 touches, created one big chance, and completed two of four dribble attempts. He also had one shot on target.

Defensively, he won his only aerial duel and succeeded in two of the eight ground duels he contested as he put a solid all-round performance to help Lazio secure the win.
