Super Eagles winger Emmanuel Dennis is thrilled to return to competitive football after sealing a dramatic deadline-day move to Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
The 27-year-old had been frozen out at Nottingham Forest, failing to make a single appearance this season. However, his switch to Ewood Park offers him a fresh opportunity to showcase his talent and help Rovers in their promotion push.
With Champions League, Premier League, and Championship experience under his belt, Dennis brings pedigree to Blackburn’s squad.

Dennis to fire Blackburn to promotion?
Following his unveiling, he expressed his excitement about entertaining the fans and making an impact.
“Goals are no problem, but I also like having fun, showing tricks, nutmegs, and exciting the fans, because that’s what they come to the stadium to see,” Dennis said.
“People come from home to sit in the cold and watch us play, so you have to give them something.”
The Nigerian forward, who cost Forest £20m in 2022, struggled for game time and was eventually left out of their squad. In his time at the City Ground, he managed 25 appearances, scoring twice and providing two assists.
Blackburn currently sit fifth in the Championship table with 45 points from 30 matches, but have only managed 34 goals so far this season.

With a point to prove and a hunger to revive his career, Dennis will be eager to make an immediate impact for Rovers and hopefully stake a claim for a return to the Super Eagles ahead of the resumption of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers next month.
He last played for Nigeria in 2022, when he famously demanded and then missed a penalty in a heavy 4-0 defeat to Portugal.
