Nigerian midfielder Anthony Dennis delivered a standout performance on Monday, registering his second assist of the season as Göztepe demolished Kenneth Omeruo’s Kasımpaşa 5-0 in a Turkish Süper Lig clash.

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo however did not feature in the game due to injury.

The 20-year-old was a driving force for Göztepe, contributing significantly to their most prolific attacking display of the campaign.

Dennis set the tone early, providing the assist for David Tijanić’s opener in the 7th minute.

The first half ended without further goals, but the second half exploded into life for the home side.

João’s 52nd-minute strike doubled the lead, and when Kasım Paşa’s Nicholas Opoku received a red card, Göztepe capitalized on their numerical advantage.

Goals from Romulo Cruz, Victor Hugo, and İsmail Köybaşı sealed the emphatic win for Goztepe.

With the win, Göztepe are now in 4th place on the Turkish Süper Lig table with 31 points after 18 matches.

Offensively, Dennis succeeded in two of three dribbles and dominated ground duels, winning seven out of eight.

Although aerial duels proved trickier, with one win from three attempts, his overall contribution was pivotal to Göztepe’s dominant display.

This stellar outing further highlights Dennis’ potential as he continues to impress in the Turkish Süper Lig while hoping to attract Nigerian national team selectors.
