Super Eagles prospect Josh Maja played a pivotal role in West Bromwich Albion’s 1-0 triumph over Plymouth Argyle in the English Championship on Saturday.
The Nigerian striker netted the game’s only goal, securing an important three points for his team as they continue their strong start to the league campaign.
Maja’s decisive moment came in the 63rd minute, when he latched onto an assist from Serbian midfielder Uroš Račić to find the back of the net.
It was his sixth goal of the season, further cementing his place as one of West Brom's key attacking players.

Maja, who has only one international cap for Nigeria, earned in a 2019 friendly against Ukraine, played 78 minutes in the match.
He registered one shot on target and two shots off target, though he missed two big chances.
With 25 touches and an impressive 82% pass accuracy (9/11 passes), the Nigerian forward also contributed defensively with one interception and won two of his four ground duels.
West Brom are now sitting comfortably at the top of the Championship table with 16 points from six matches, having won five and drawn one.
