Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen was on target as Galatasaray cruised to a 5-1 away win over Eyupspor in the Turkish Süper Lig.

Lucas Torreira doubled the lead before Osimhen added the third with a brilliant individual effort.

Two goals from Álvaro Morata sealed the victory, while Luccas Claro scored Eyupspor’s only goal.

It was Osimhen’s 31st goal of the season in all competitions and his 22nd in the Süper Lig, helping Galatasaray stay firmly at the top of the table.

The Nigerian forward also drew widespread praise on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) for his outstanding performance.

One moment that stood out was his exceptional ball control, when he stretched to bring down a high pass — a move the Galatasaray official account compared to an anime character.

Osimhen scored just from the same sequence when a blocked shot from that control ricocheted back to him to score Galatasaray’s third goal of the match.

Off the pitch, Osimhen also won hearts with a kind gesture to a fan.
At half-time, he gave his jersey to a young fan, an act rarely seen during top-flight matches.

The show of kindness did not go unnoticed.

After the final whistle, Osimhen again showed leadership, encouraging his teammates, including Álvaro Morata, to go to applaud the travelling fans for their strong support throughout the game.

The 26-year-old's goal against Eyupspor gathered a lot of adulation with a poster suggesting goals are like water to the forward

Osimhen's goal and assist take his tally to 22 goals and five assists for the season in a very impressive campaign for the forward.

Galatasaray are now on 80 points after 31 matches, five points ahead of closest rivals Fenerbahce with four games to go of the season.
