Former Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye has voiced his concerns over the handling of Victor Osimhen's potential transfer to Chelsea.
The Blues have shown strong interest in the Napoli star this summer, but negotiations have stalled over financial disagreements.
Chelsea are reportedly keen on securing Osimhen's services on a loan deal, coupled with a reduced wage package. However, the Nigeria international is reportedly not open to taking a wage cut and is pushing for a loan move that includes an obligatory option for a permanent transfer.

Osimhen’s impressive form has attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli as well. Yet, neither club has been willing to meet his hefty release clause, which is believed to be between €120 million and €130 million.
PSG failed to reach an agreement, while Al Ahli tabled a bid in the region of €65 million to €70 million, far below Napoli's valuation of the Nigerian international.
Ideye to Victor Osimhen: Secure the bag, return for passion
Taking to social media, Ideye expressed his frustration over what he perceives as a lack of recognition for Victor Osimhen's talents in Europe, despite the striker’s outstanding performances last season and his recent accolade as Africa's best player.
The former Super Eagles forward also questioned Calenda's reluctance to facilitate a move to Chelsea and advised Osimhen to consider a lucrative switch to Saudi Arabia, suggesting that the 24-year-old could return to Europe in a few years.
The summer transfer window is nearing its end, and Osimhen’s future remains uncertain, with fans eagerly awaiting the next move in this ongoing saga.
