Odion Ighalo played a crucial role in Al Wehda’s dramatic victory over Al-Faisaly in the Round of 32 of the Kings Cup of Champions. The former Super Eagles striker scored the equalizer during regular time and converted his spot-kick in the penalty shootout, helping his side secure a 4-2 win on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

Starting on the bench, Ighalo entered the match at the beginning of the second half. Moments later, Al-Faisaly took the lead in the 48th minute through Lucas Souza. However, Ighalo quickly responded for Al Wehda, netting the equalizer just three minutes later with a well-placed right-footed shot from the center of the box.

Ighalo’s introduction energized Al Wehda's attack as they sought a winner. He had another shot blocked shortly after his goal and saw a left-footed attempt saved in the 62nd minute. Despite being caught offside multiple times, Ighalo remained a constant threat up front.
