Granada’s European ambitions suffered a blow on Liga F matchday 14 as they fell 3-1 to Real Madrid Femenino. Despite the loss, Nigerian forward Edna Imade continued her remarkable form, scoring Granada’s only goal and showcasing why she’s among the league’s elite scorers.
Imade’s equalizer in the 28th minute came from a well-taken left-footed effort, assisted by Ariadna Mingueza following a corner.
The 24-year-old forward now boasts an impressive tally of 10 league goals in 14 appearances this season, with strikes in her last five consecutive matches against Badalona, Levante, Deportivo La Coruña, Madrid CFF, and now Real Madrid. Including the Copa de la Reina, her tally stands at 11 goals in 15 matches.

Imade’s one-man show in Granada
The Super Falcons hopeful’s impact was evident beyond her goal. Imade registered one shot on target, two off target, and missed a crucial chance early in the first half that could have given Granada the lead.
Her involvement extended to four aerial duels, winning two, while delivering one accurate cross out of four attempts.
Despite a challenging game, she completed 12 of her 24 passes (50% accuracy) and had 37 touches, reflecting her effort to link up play.
However, the Moroccan-born striker struggled to retain possession, losing the ball 17 times as Granada chased the game against superior opposition.
Her performances this season underline her importance to Granada’s European push. She currently ranks second in the Liga F scoring charts, trailing only FC Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor, who has 14 goals.
Imade’s exploits also make her the highest-scoring Nigerian in European women’s football this season.
