Nigeria striker Isaac Success made an immediate impact for Al-Wasl by scoring the match-winning goal in their AFC Champions League clash against Al-Gharafa at the Al Bayt Stadium on Tuesday.
The goal marked Success' first strike in his maiden game for Al-Wasl, following his arrival as a free agent in October after being released by Italian side Udinese in August, where he had spent three years.
Ferjani Sassi opened the scoring for the hosts in the 44th minute, but Fabio Lima equalized in the 84th minute. The former Udinese man then clinched the victory for Al-Wasl with a decisive goal in the 92nd minute, securing all three points for his team.
Tuesday's victory positions Milos Milojevic's side fifth in the table, with two wins and one loss from their three games.
