Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi provided an assist for Fulham as they defeated West Ham United 2-0 at the London Stadium on Sunday.
Iwobi and Nigerian compatriot Calvin Bassey both started the game for the Cottagers as they looked to improve their standings on the table.

Alex Pereira got Fulham the lead just nine minutes into the game with a fine finish to set his team on course for all three points.
Fulham led the game despite West Ham’s valiant efforts and added a second goal in the 72nd minute as Pereira got his and Fulham’s second of the day.
Alex Iwobi turned provider for Pereira’s second goal to register his third assist of the season.
Iwobi assist powers Fulham
The 27-year-old has also scored five goals for Fulham this season, ranking him as the third highest goal scorer at the club in the EPL.
He is just behind Rodrigo Muniz who has eight goals and Bobby De Cordova-Reid who has six goals to show how influential he has been for the team.
After a second-place finish at the Africa Cup of Nations, Iwobi will be hoping to push Fulham closer to the European places.
Currently, with the result against West Ham, Fulham are in 12th place on 42 points from 33 games.
Akor assist to catalyze season?

In France, Nigeria striker Jerome Akor Adams also provided an assist for his club Montpellier as they held Clermont Foot to a 1-1 draw.
Muhammad Savarevic put the home side ahead in added time of the first half as the home side went into the break with a slender lead.
After the break, Montpellier piled on the pressure and were duly rewarded when Tanguy Coulibaly profited from a Jerome Akor assist to draw his side level.
Akor and his team are now 13th on the 18-team Ligue 1 table with 33 points from 29 matches, seven points away from the relegation zone.
It has been a lean spell for Akor in recent weeks after he took Ligue 1 by storm at the start of the season following his move from Norwegian side Lillestroem.
He opened his goals account on the first match-day, hitting two goals past Le Havre and then following it up with another goal against Lyon the following week.
Akor also netted braces against Lorient and Toulouse by matchday nine to take his tally to seven goals before the ten-game mark.

His rich form necessitated calls from the Nigerian press for the striker to be called up for the Super Eagles.
Though capped at the U20 level for Nigeria, he has not played for the senior national team yet.
Unfortunately, the goals have dried up since then for the 24-year-old as he has struggled to showcase the form he displayed at the start of the season.
With his assist against Clermont, Adams will hope it will be the beginning of better fortunes for him in front of goal as the season winds down.
