Spain U23 international of Nigerian descent, Samu Omorodion, is wanted by La Liga outfit Real Sociedad amid speculation surrounding the future of their Nigerian striker, Sadiq Umar, and former Spain U21 international forward, Carlos Fernández. This interest comes after Omorodion's transfer to Premier League giants Chelsea fell through.
The proposed move to Chelsea would have seen the Atlético de Madrid striker sign a seven-year contract for 40 million euros, with Conor Gallagher heading in the opposite direction. However, despite Omorodion passing his medical, the deal collapsed as Chelsea and Atlético failed to reach a club-to-club agreement.
Real Sociedad are also said to be closing in on the signing of former Real Madrid striker Borja Mayoral, with the deal set to be completed separately from their move for Samu Omorodion.

According to Spanish media outlet Relevo, Real Sociedad are searching for another striker, and have picked interest in the Super Eagles eligible forward who spent last season at Deportivo Alavés, scoring eight league goals in 35 games.
Interest from Napoli and Juventus
Following the Chelsea setback, Omorodion has attracted interest from other top European clubs, including Italian giants Napoli and Juventus. While these clubs are considering a loan move, Atlético de Madrid prefers an outright sale to facilitate a deal for Gallagher.
With the summer transfer window nearing its end, Omorodion's future remains uncertain. Atlético has yet to register him for La Liga ahead of their season opener against Villarreal but plans to finalize his registration soon.
Should he stay with Los Colchoneros, Omorodion will face stiff competition from new signings Alexander Sörloth and Julián Alvarez, who cost a combined 107 million euros.
Though little is known about his father, it has been confirmed that Samu Omorodion is eligible to play for the Super Eagles, thanks to his Nigerian mother, Edith Aghehowa.
