Moses: Luton teammate believes Nigerian’s quality could spark a turnaround for the club

Luton Town’s Jordan Clark has expressed confidence in Victor Moses, highlighting the Nigerian forward's potential to significantly impact the team’s fortunes.

The former Nigeria international joined Luton Town last month on a free transfer, following his departure from Russian club Spartak Moscow earlier this summer, where he spent nearly four years after initially joining on loan from Chelsea in 2020.

The Hatters have not had the desired start to the 2024/2025 season, managing only 2 wins from 9 EFL Championship games. This disappointing return is particularly striking given that Luton Town was competing as a Premier League side at this time last year.

Clark believes that Moses' exceptional quality could be the catalyst for a much-needed turnaround as the club looks to regain its momentum.

Clark: Moses' quality essential for Luton’s revival

In a recent interview with Luton Today, Clark expressed his admiration for teammate Victor Moses, highlighting his exceptional skill set and the potential impact he could have on the team's performance.

Speaking about the impact he has had so far, Clark said: “He’s quality, you can see he’s got that Premier League quality.

“He’s had such a good career, so we’re lucky to have him. He’s getting fitter and fitter and fitter, he’s come on and looked a real threat. He took his goal really well, that’s the bit of quality we need and are probably missing a little bit. So hopefully we can see more of that, hopefully it rubs off on everyone else, gives us a lift and we’re looking forward to the next games now and can hopefully get some wins.”

Since his arrival at Kenilworth Road, Moses has made four appearances, starting two of those matches. He has scored one goal and averages 58 minutes of play per game.
