Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has offered reassuring updates on the fitness of Wilfred Ndidi, confirming that the midfielder is making significant strides in his recovery.
The Nigeria international has been sidelined since December following an injury sustained during a Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Prior to his injury, Ndidi had featured in 15 matches this season, registering four assists. He has so far missed Leicester's last nine games across all competitions.

With Ndidi unavailable, Leicester City has faced difficulties, recording only two victories—a 1-0 triumph over Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup and a 2-1 away win against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League—while conceding at least two goals in every other match.
Initially set to return by March 1, Ndidi's early return to full training offers a timely boost to both his club and the Super Eagles as they prepare for crucial World Cup qualifiers in March.
Van Nistelrooy provides update on Ndidi’s recovery
Ahead of his side's trip to Everton on Saturday, the Dutch manager offered a positive update on Ndidi's recovery, as shared by the club's official website.
“Wilf is making good progress,” Van Nistelrooy said. “He’s partially involved in team training. This week we're looking to bring him back into full team training and over the course of next week.”

The 28-year-old's early return will provide a significant boost for Nigeria, as the Super Eagles prepare to face Rwanda on March 17 and host Zimbabwe on March 24.
The three-time African champions currently sit fifth in their six-team group, having secured just three points from their opening four matches, which also include Benin, South Africa, and Lesotho.
