French side AS Monaco have initiated talks over a move for Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, while Atlético Madrid are also monitoring the Nigerian international.

The 28-year-old has been sidelined since December after suffering an injury in a Premier League clash with Brighton. Despite his absence, his influence has been evident, as Leicester have struggled in his absence, winning just once in eight games while conceding at least two goals in each.
Before his injury, Ndidi featured in 15 matches this season, contributing four assists. His defensive importance remains clear, with 181 defensive actions to his name, ranking him among Europe’s elite midfielders like Moises Caicedo and Bruno Guimaraes.
Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy is keen to retain the midfielder as the club battles relegation. However, with interest from two major European clubs, the Foxes face a fight to keep one of their most vital players.
23/01 – Done deal: Osuji joins Club Brugge
Club Brugge have completed the signing of Nigerian defender Vince Osuji on a four year deal from Swedish side Kalmar FF.

The 18-year-old who attracted interest from KRC Genk, Anderlecht, and even Chelsea, will now link up with the Brugge first team, though he may initially gain match fitness with Club NXT.
Osuji joined Kalmar from Nigeria’s De Cardinal Football Academy in April 2024 and quickly made an impact, starting 15 of 18 games in the Allsvenskan. He scored his first professional goal in a 2-2 draw against Malmö FF.
This transfer marks Kalmar’s most expensive defensive sale, surpassing Jacob Trenskow’s €1.5m move to AZ Alkmaar in 2012. Osuji had previously been linked with Genk last summer, but visa issues halted the move.
The former Nigeria U17 defender joins fellow Nigerian Raphael Onyedika at Club Brugge, as the Belgian club bolsters its squad following Andreas Skov Olsen’s departure to Wolfsburg.
23/01 – Monza latest to register Dessers interest

The 30-year-old has endured a tough spell at Rangers since his arrival from Cremonese in 2023, with inconsistent performances limiting his impact in Scotland.
Once a regular starter under manager Philippe Clement, Dessers has fallen down the pecking order, with Hamza Igamane now preferred in attack. Seeking a return to form, the Nigerian international is eager to secure a move where he can feature prominently.
Italian journalist Nicolo Schira revealed that Monza, rooted to the bottom of Serie A, have been offered the chance to sign Dessers. Leganés, Saint-Étienne, and Serie A sides Empoli and Cagliari are also linked, but financial hurdles could complicate a deal.
Rangers reportedly value Dessers at €5 million, a price tag that might prove challenging for some suitors, including Leganés, who are exploring a loan option.

Abdulrazak, who is under contract with Anderlecht until 2026, has seen his market value drop from €3 million to €600,000. His move to Värnamo, with the Swedish season starting in March, could signal the end of his time with the Belgian side. Signed by Italian club Bologna early in his career, the 25-year-old midfielder struggled with injuries and inconsistent form. These challenges saw him loaned out to various clubs in Europe, but he has been without a team since departing Austrian side DSV Leoben in July 2024.

The move comes after Rapid Bucharest decided to part ways with striker Aaron Boupendza, and Ankeye is seen as a direct replacement.
Last season, Ankeye showed his potential in European competition, scoring three goals for Genoa against Servette Geneva and BATE Borisov.
Currently sitting in sixth place in the Romanian league with 32 points, Rapid will hope that Ankeye's goal-scoring ability will help propel them up the table as they push for European football next season.

Dessers has started just once since late November, but despite his reduced role, transfer interest remains high.
Spanish outlet Revelo reports that Leganes have inquired about his availability this January, as they search for a striker. The club, currently 16th in La Liga, recently terminated a loan deal with Borussia Dortmund’s Sebastien Haller, who joined FC Utrecht for the remainder of the season.
