In a sport where goalkeepers are often seen as mere shot-stoppers, Chiamaka Nnadozie continues to redefine the role.
The Nigerian international was at the heart of Paris FC Féminines' 3-0 triumph over Stade de Reims Féminines on Saturday, not just with a clean sheet, her seventh of the season but with an audacious assist that showcased her vision and technical brilliance.
For 90 minutes at Stade Auguste-Delaune, Nnadozie was more than just the last line of defense, she was a conductor from the back.
Nnadozie’s goalkeeping masterclass

With 37 touches and 19 accurate passes from 31 attempts, she dictated the rhythm of play. Her long-range distribution was impeccable, finding a teammate 13 times from 24 attempts. But her moment of genius arrived in the 62nd minute. Spotting Kessya Bussy's run, Nnadozie launched a precise ball forward, which Bussy controlled before slotting home to make it 3-0.
Defensively, the Super Falcons shot-stopper was flawless. She successfully rushed out twice to intercept danger and made three crucial clearances.
Her lone save came in the 81st minute when she calmly collected a long-range effort from Colette Ndzana, preserving her seventh clean sheet in just 11 league appearances this season.
With the victory, Paris FC remain second in the table with 33 points from 14 games, though they still trail Olympique Lyon Féminin by seven points. Individually, Nnadozie’s performances continue to place her among the league’s elite.
She now sits joint second in the clean sheet rankings with FC Fleury’s Constance Picaud (7), behind only Lyon’s Christiane Endler (10).
