Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Lobi Stars have appointed former Super Eagles forward Daniel Amokachi as their new head coach.
The 51-year-old ex-Club Brugge star was spotted in the stands at the Lafia City Stadium during Lobi Stars' 1-0 victory over Shooting Stars last Saturday.

Amokachi, who was part of Nigeria's 1994 Africa Cup of Nations-winning squad, also represented the country in two FIFA World Cups (1994 and 1998).
He replaces Eugene Agagbe, who started the season with Lobi Stars, following the recent dismissal of the club's management led by former international Dominic Iorfa.
Nicknamed ‘The Bull’ for his powerful playing style, Amokachi brings valuable experience to Lobi Stars, having previously managed Nasarawa United, Enyimba, and the now-defunct FC Ifeanyi Ubah in the NPFL.
His coaching career also includes a stint with the national team at U23 and full senior level.
Lobi Stars hope Daniel Amokachi can save their NPFL season
In an official statement, the club announced, “The Board has appointed former Super Eagles coach Daniel Amokachi as the new Technical Adviser.
“His appointment takes immediate effect as we aim to revitalize our strategy and improve performance on the pitch.”

“In addition to the coaching change, all backroom staff have been relieved of their duties and instructed to reapply if they wish to continue with the club.
“They must also return all club property in their possession.
Daniel Amokachi will join fellow USA '94 stars, Finidi George and Emmanuel Amunike, as head coaches in the NPFL.
Lobi Stars have endured a difficult start to the season, winning just one of their first five games, and currently sit 17th in the 20-team league.
