Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has denied allegations of physically assaulting a journalist after reports emerged in Turkey about an altercation involving him and some reporters.
According to Turkish media, the incident allegedly took place two nights ago outside Tofes 99 Sports Bar in Maslak 1453.
Osimhen and a group of friends were said to have been leaving the venue when journalists, including Posta reporter Tolga Bozduman, began taking photos.

Witnesses claimed the Napoli striker became angry upon noticing the cameras, leading to an altercation where he allegedly punched a journalist and offered money to delete the footage.

However, the Super Eagles forward, has categorically denied these claims.
Speaking through the Super Eagles media officer, Promise Efoghe, the 25-year-old insisted the allegations are false.
He clarified that he had been dining with friends at an African restaurant, not partying at a nightclub, as reported.
The striker explained that as they were leaving in his friend’s car, they were swarmed by individuals trying to take photos without consent.
Osimhen said he asked them to stop, requesting privacy, but his appeals were ignored.

He emphasized that he was within his rights to ask for privacy, noting that the incident did not occur at a football training ground or other public professional setting.
Osimhen further stated that the claims of assault are baseless, pointing out that he is fully aware of European laws regarding violence and understands the severe consequences of such actions.
The Nigerian forward said he is focused on football as he has put the incident behind him.
The striker, currently in stellar form for Galatasaray, has scored 15 goals and provided six assists in 19 appearances across all competitions this season.
