Turkey forward Kerem Aktürkoğlu has lauded the exceptional talent of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.

Since making his debut for the Turkish champions, the 25-year-old has consistently captured attention with his impressive performances. He exhibited his skillset yet again with a spectacular goal during Galatasaray's commanding 3-0 victory over Antalyaspor this past weekend.

Osimhen, who entered the match as a substitute in the 78th minute, reminded all of his quality by outmuscling an Antalyaspor defender to deliver a stunning overhead kick.

His goal has attracted significant attention throughout Europe, with Turkish media noting it as one of only two overhead kick goals in football history to exceed a height of 2.30 meters.

The striker's outstanding effort soared to an impressive 2.32 meters, evoking memories of Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic bicycle kick in the Champions League quarter-final match between Real Madrid and Juventus in April 2018.

Aktürkoğlu shares his admiration for Osimhen's brilliance

Expressing admiration for Osimhen's exceptional skills on the pitch, Aktürkoğlu, who joined Benfica from Galatasaray in September, revealed he would have loved the opportunity to with the Nigeria international.

“Osimhen's goal is really good, there is nothing to say. We were surprised like you, he is a great player. Of course I would like to play with such a great player,” he said.

Currently on a season-long loan at Galatasaray after missing out on a permanent transfer from Napoli in the summer, Osimhen had been linked with a move to Chelsea for several months.

However, a breakdown in negotiations ultimately prevented the deal from materialising.

Since his arrival, Osimhen has made a significant impact, scoring four goals and providing three assists in five matches, while averaging 63 minutes of play per game.
