Napoli have confirmed that star striker Victor Osimhen is desperate to leave the club this summer. The Serie A champions have been bracing themselves for a firesale after their stunning title win, and it looks like the Nigerian hitman will be the first big name out the door.
Osimhen has been linked with a host of European giants, including PSG, Chelsea, and Arsenal, but Napoli's hefty €130m valuation has proved a stumbling block. The Nigerian forward was also left out of the squad for their Coppa Italia clash with Modena, signaling his uncertain future.
Via a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Napoli’s director Giovanni Manna has confirmed that Osimhen will leave the club this summer.
“Victor Osimhen has asked to leave the club. He wants to go,” Manna said
“The situation is clear, there were already chances for his exit last summer. Victor wants to leave, we will see in the next 20 days”.

Chelsea and Arsenal emerged as the most serious contenders for Osimhen's signature. The Blues have even explored the possibility of including Romelu Lukaku as part of a deal, while the Gunners have also registered their interest. However, Osimhen is believed to be keen on a permanent move, with a loan option rejected.
The Nigerian forward's hefty weekly wages of €325,000 have also complicated matters, with several clubs hesitant to match his salary demands. Despite interest from Saudi Arabia, Osimhen remains focused on a move within Europe.
With the transfer window closing soon, Napoli are under pressure to cash in on their prized asset. While the club aren’t so keen to let go of their top scorer for less than a hundred million, Osimhen's determination to leave has left them with little choice but to negotiate a deal.
