Southampton, having been promoted back to the Premier League, initially set the transfer fee at 15 million Euros but has reportedly reduced their expectations to around 10 million Euros.

Trabzonspor has increased their loan offer and proposed a purchase option.

Additionally, there are discussions about potentially sending a player to Southampton's Turkish affiliate club, Göztepe, as part of the deal.

The  6'5,tall striker, currently on holiday in Nigeria, recently featured for the Super Eagles  in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin as Nigeria seek to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

As the club's management pushes the limits to secure this transfer, there is also the exciting possibility of Onuachu linking up with fellow Nigeria international Anthony Nwakaeme, who has rejoined the Turkish club from Al-Fayha in Saudi Arabia.

Both players played at the same football academy in Nigeria before moving to Europe.
