Samuel Chukwueze has received praise from his AC Milan teammate Alessandro Florenzi. The Nigeria international who replaced Christian Pulisic in the Milan lineup was in superb form in Rossoneri's 2-1 win over Fiorentina over the weekend.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Rafael Leão each found the net, surrounding a remarkable goal by Alfred Duncan, to secure Milan's 20th league win of the season.
The 24-year-old has had a torrid time settling in Milan and has been the subject of discussions among Milan fans since his arrival from Villarreal.
His performance against Fiorentina is an indication that Chukwueze could be returning to his best form—one that attracted his current employers.
Chukwueze made 44 touches, delivered two key passes, created one significant scoring opportunity, and directed a header on target that goalkeeper Pietro Terracciano managed to block.

Defensively, he wasn't found wanting. He won four out of five duels and successfully completed two out of three dribbles, thus alleviating the pressure on his team.
Florenzi lauds Samuel Chukwueze's versatility and defensive contribution
After the game, Florenzi took a moment to commend Chukwueze's efforts, extolling his contributions on both ends of the pitch.
“Samuel played really well today, not only on the attacking side but also defensively because when Rafa would press the centre-back, we created space with Reijnders on the left, so his help at the back was vital,” Florenzi remarked.
“He played a good game but we know his qualities and what he can contribute to the team. Obviously, there are players who need a day to adapt to their new surroundings while others may need months. So we hope his settling-in phase is over because this is the Sammy we want to see.”
Chukwueze has only managed one Serie A goal for AC Milan in 18 appearances.
