Sevilla head coach Garcia Pimienta has responded to recent criticism over the club's treatment of striker Kelechi Iheanacho.
Finidi, in a passionate statement, expressed disappointment in Sevilla's treatment of the player and urged the Super Eagles forward to consider leaving for a club where he would be appreciated.
The Spanish manager, however, pushed back against these claims, offering a firm rebuttal.

Pimienta declares himself delighted with Iheanacho
Speaking during his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's game against Espanyol, Pimienta set the record straight regarding Finidi George's criticism.
“I had no idea what he [Finidi] said. We have not disrespected Kelechi at any time. He may have played less than I expected, but I am delighted with him,” the Sevilla coach said as per AS.
“He will surely be called up tomorrow. But other teammates have not played much either. I know he has offers, although at the moment he is training with us. He will decide whether he will take up any offer or wants to stay here.”

The 28-year-old striker has faced challenges adapting to life at Sevilla following his departure from Leicester City.
Since joining the Spanish club, he has featured in 11 matches across all competitions, netting three goals, all in the Copa del Rey. Despite being named in the starting lineup on seven occasions, Iheanacho has averaged just 52 minutes per game.
Iheanacho is contracted to the Andalusian club until June 2026, with the club holding an option to extend his contract by an additional 12 months.
However, he has recently been linked with Premier League clubs Ipswich Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers, as well as Championship side Leeds United.
