The Super Falcons of Nigeria have once again asserted their dominance in African women's football, securing the number one position on the continent in the latest FIFA rankings with 1621.29 points.
In addition to maintaining their top spot in Africa, the Nigerian team has successfully retained their 36th position in the global rankings.
Randy Waldrum's side were one of only two African nations, alongside Zambia, to represent the continent at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
The Super Falcons concluded their 2024 Olympic campaign at the bottom of Group C, unable to secure a point after losses to Brazil, Spain, and Japan.
Despite these setbacks, their performances were sufficient to maintain their strong standing in both the continental and global rankings.
