UEFA Euro 2024 is in full swing, as 24 teams battle for the right to be called European Champions. You can find all the tournament stats in this article, including fixtures, tables and predictions for Nigerian bettors.
Euro 2024 Group Stage: Tables, Fixtures and Predictions
This is the 17th edition of the European Championships. The group stage consists of 24 teams that are split into six groups of four. These sides will contend with each other in a round robin format, and the top two teams in each group will advance to the Round of 16.
It's worth mentioning that four of six third-placed teams will also make it through to the knockout stages. On that note, these are the six UEFA Euro 2024 groups:
Group A
Germany (hosts), Hungary, Scotland and Switzerland make up Group A. Unlike the others, Germany didn't have to go through the qualifying rounds, as they received a ticket to the tournament by way of being the host nation.
On the other hand, Hungary finished at the top of their qualifying Group G ahead of Serbia, Montenegro, Lithuania and Bulgaria.
Scotland squared off against Spain, Norway, Georgia and Cyprus in their qualifying Group A, finishing in second place; while Switzerland also finished second in a Group I containing Romania, Israel, Belarus, Kosovo and Andorra.
Group A Match Schedule
*All dates and times in this article are in West Africa Time (WAT).
14 June
Germany 5-1 Scotland (Allianz Arena, Munich, 20:00)
15 June
Hungary 1-3 Switzerland (RheinEnergieStadion, Cologne, 14:00)
19 June
Germany 2-0 Hungary (MHP Arena, Stuttgart, 17:00)
Scotland 1-1 Switzerland (RheinEnergieStadion, Cologne, 20:00)
23 June
Switzerland 1-1 Germany (Deutsche Bank Park, Frankfurt, 20:00)
Scotland 0-1 Hungary (MHP Arena, Stuttgart, 20:00)

Group A Winner: Tips and Predictions
Taking everything into account, we are fairly confident that Germany will lead Group A when all is said and done. For one, Die Mannschaft have been to more semifinals than every other team in the continent.
In nine trips to the last four, Germany won three titles and were runners-up on three occasions. They also won seven of their last nine encounters with Scotland, 21 of their last 27 skirmishes with Switzerland, while losing just once in their last five clashes with Hungary.
We also expect Hungary to claim the other Round of 16 spot, considering how well they've been playing lately.
At the time of writing, Marco Rossi's troops are on a 14-match unbeaten run, with nine wins and five draws. This is in contrast with Scotland, who are on a seven-match winless streak, and Switzerland, who managed one win in their last six games.

Group B
Three-time winners Spain, Croatia, Albania, and defending champions Italy make up Group B.
Spain made it into the competition as Group A winners in their qualifying campaign ahead of Scotland, Norway, Georgia, and Cyprus. Croatia, meanwhile, came second in Group D behind Turkey and above Wales, Armenia, and Latvia.
Italy finished in second-place behind England in Group C during the qualifiers with Ukraine, North Macedonia, and Malta being the other members. Whereas, Albania qualified as Group E winners with Czech Republic, Poland, Moldova, and Faroe Islands making up the other teams in the group.
Group B Match Schedule
15 June
Spain 3-0 Croatia (Olympiastadion, Berlin, 17:00)
Italy 2-1 Albania (Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund, 20:00)
19 June
Croatia 2-2 Albania (Volksparkstadion, Hamburg, 14:00)
20 June
Spain 1-0 Italy (Veltins-Arena, Gelsenkirchen, 20:00)
24 June
Croatia 1-1 Italy (Red Bull Arena, Leipzig, 20:00)
Albania 0-1 Spain (Merkur Spiel-Arena, Dusseldorf, 20:00)

Group B Winner: Tips and Predictions
Three-time champions Spain and two-time winners Italy are the favourites in Group B, but we aren't entirely convinced that both teams will claim the top two spots in this group.
We would like to point out that the Azzurri don't exactly have a great track record against Croatia, as they won just one of nine previous skirmishes between these teams. In fact, Italy's only victory over Croatia came in a friendly match in 1942.
While we are confident that Spain will be Group B leaders, we are backing Croatia to finish behind them.

Group C
England, Denmark, Serbia, and Slovenia are profiled in Group C.
Slovenia and Denmark will meet once again, after both were paired together in the qualifying rounds. The Danes led their qualifying group, while Slovenia finished second ahead of Kazakhstan, North Ireland, and San Marino.
Coincidentally, England were also paired in Group C during the qualifiers where they finished as group leaders ahead of Italy, Ukraine, North Macedonia, and Malta.
Serbia finished as runners-up in Group G with Hungary, Montenegro, Lithuania, and Bulgaria.
Group C Match Schedule
16 June
Slovenia 1-1 Denmark (MHP Arena, Stuttgart, 17:00)
Serbia 0-1 England (Veltins-Arena, Gelsenkirchen, 20:00)
20 June
Slovenia 1-1 Serbia (Allianz Arena, Munich, 14:00)
Denmark 1-1 England (Deutsche Bank Park, Frankfurt, 17:00)
25 June
England 0-0 Slovenia (RheinEnergieStadion, Cologne, 20:00)
Denmark 0-0 Serbia (Allianz Arena, Munich, 20:00)

Group C Winner: Tips and Predictions
Denmark impressed at the previous edition of the European Championships, going all the way to the semi-finals. They also had a solid qualifying campaign, winning seven of 10 group games.
Denmark will have a chance to avenge their semi-final loss when they face England in Group C. The Three Lions are not exactly an easy nut to crack, as they went through the qualifying rounds without losing.
Given that Slovenia managed one point from a possible six when they met Denmark in the qualifiers, we believe the Danes will go through, just behind group leaders England.

Group D
It's quite poetic that Group D is widely considered to be the Group of Death, with Poland, Austria, France, and the Netherlands battling for supremacy.
Poland squared off against Albania, Czech Republic, Moldova, and Faroe Islands in the qualifiers where they finished third in Group E. They eventually faced Wales in the Playoff A final, triumphing 5-4 on penalties to book their spot in this competition.
Austria were runners-up in Group F during the qualifiers where they went toe-to-toe with Belgium, Sweden, Azerbaijan, and Estonia.
Meanwhile, France reigned supreme in Group B ahead of second-placed Netherlands, Greece, Ireland, and Gibraltar in the Euro qualifiers.
Group D Match Schedule
16 June
Poland 1-2 Netherlands (Veltins-Arena, Gelsenkirchen, 14:00)
17 June
Austria 0-1 France (Merkur Spiel-Arena, Dusseldorf, 20:00)
21 June
Poland 1-3 Austria (Olympiastadion, Berlin, 17:00)
Netherlands 0-0 France (Allianz Arena, Munich, 20:00)
25 June
France 1-1 Poland (Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund (17:00)
Netherlands 2-3 Austria (RheinEnergieStadion, Cologne, 17:00)

Group D Winner: Tips and Predictions
We've established that France and Netherlands were paired in the same qualifying group. While the Dutch won six of eight group games, they lost both clashes with France, including a humiliating 4-0 loss in Paris in March last year.
Les Bleus have dominated their group opponents in recent years. They won seven of their last 10 encounters with Austria, seven of their last eight meetings with Netherlands, and are unbeaten in their last eight clashes with Poland.
Although Netherlands tend to fall short against France, they've held their own against Poland, and are on a seven-match winning streak vs Austria. France should come out on top, followed by the Netherlands.

Group E
Slotted in Group E are Romania, Belgium, Slovakia, and Ukraine.
Romania emerged as Group I winners where they battled Switzerland, Israel, Belarus, Kosovo, and Andorra. Belgium, meanwhile, topped Group F ahead of Austria, Sweden, Azerbaijan, and Estonia.
Slovakia finished second in qualies where they were paired with Portugal, Luxembourg, Iceland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Liechtenstein.
Meanwhile, Ukraine finished as one of the best third-place teams in Group C where they squared off against England, Italy, North Macedonia, and Malta. They went on to book their place in Euro 2024 after overcoming Iceland 2-1 in the Playoff B final.
Group E Match Schedule
17 June
Romania 3-0 Ukraine (Allianz Arena, Munich, 14:00)
Belgium 0-1 Slovakia (Deutsche Bank Park, Frankfurt, 17:00)
21 June
Slovakia 1-2 Ukraine (Merkur Spiel-Arena, Dusseldorf, 14:00)
22 June
Belgium 2-0 Romania (RheinEnergieStadion, Cologne, 20:00)
26 June
Ukraine 0-0 Belgium (MHP Arena, Stuttgart (17:00)
Slovakia 1-1 Romania (Deutsche Bank Park, Frankfurt, 17:00)

Group E Winner: Tips and Predictions
At the time of writing, Belgium are on a 13-match unbeaten run across all competitions, with eight wins and five draws. Domenico Tedesco's men are the clear favourites to win Group E, and we can't argue with that.
With players like Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Leandro Trossard, Belgium have what it takes to go head-to-head with any team in the World and still be left standing.
We are backing Belgium to lead the group, with Romania a close second.

Group F
This group contains the Czech Republic, Turkey, Portugal, and Georgia.
The Czech Republic qualified as runners-up in Group E where they faced Albania, Poland, Moldova, and Faroe Islands; while Turkey finished as Group D winners ahead of Croatia, Wales, Armenia, and Latvia.
On the other hand, Portugal finished at the top of Group J ahead of Slovakia, Luxembourg, Iceland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Liechtenstein.
Georgia, who finished fourth in Group A behind Norway in third, moved ahead of them in the playoff rankings after Israel failed to beat Romania. The Georgians went on to make the Playoff C final, beating Greece 4-2 on penalties to advance to Euro 2024.
Group F Match Schedule
18 June
Turkey 3-1 Georgia (Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund, 17:00)
Portugal 2-1 Czechia (Red Bull Arena, Leipzig, 20:00)
22 June

26 June
Georgia 2-0 Portugal (Veltins-Arena, Gelsenkirchen, 20:00)
Czechia 1-2 Turkey (Volksparkstadion, Hamburg, 20:00)
Group F Winner: Tips and Predictions
Euro 2016 champions Portugal made a statement in the qualifying rounds, with a perfect 10 wins from 10. While they are expected to face some tough opposition in Turkey and Czech Republic, we are confident that Roberto Martinez's men will come out on top.
Turkey should follow suit, considering they won their last three meetings with the Czech Republic.

Euro 2024 Winner
While a case can be made for a few teams, our pick for the UEFA Euro 2024 title is Germany. Not only do they have the advantage of playing at home, Die Mannschaft have been one of the most successful teams in history.
Germany have advanced to more Euro semi-finals and finals than every other team in the continent. They also have more FIFA World Cup medals, and have reached more World Cup semi-finals and finals than every other team in the World.
