European clubs Chelsea and Juventus are set to be involved in a fierce battle for the signature of Victor Boniface in the summer.
Boniface has been one of the shining stars of the Bundesliga in the 2023/24 campaign, having heavily contributed to Bayer Leverkusen’s rise to the top of the table.
Although the striker is currently injured and expected to return somewhere in March, his great start to the season has led to strong interest from some European clubs.

The 23-year-old has been involved in 17 goals in 16 matches in the German topflight this season – 10 goals and seven assists – while further scoring four goals in the Europa League.
Juventus to challenge Chelsea for Victor Boniface transfer
Boniface has been linked to a number of European teams in recent months, but latest reports suggest Chelsea and Juventus lead the race for his signature.
The Blues are in desperate search of a prolific forward and initially identified Victor Osimhen as their ideal target. However, the Napoli star appears too expensive after the Italian side inserted a release clause of €120 million following his contract renewal in December.
Osimhen’s hefty wages are also said to be a stumbling block in any potential deal, with Chelsea unprepared to upset their current wage bill to sign the Nigeria international. Mauricio Pochettino’s side, therefore, sees Boniface as an ideal replacement who will also come at a cheaper cost.

The problem, though, is that Juventus also hold a strong interest in signing Victor Boniface. According to a report by Tuttojuve, the Serie A giants are preparing for a massive overhaul that will see several players depart at the end of the season and, therefore, want to bring in a new striker.
Boniface is said to tick every box in the type of player the club wants and they are ready to go toe to toe with Chelsea in the summer for the Leverkusen forward’s signature.
Boniface nominated for Bundesliga best skill of the season
Meanwhile, Boniface has been nominated for the best skill of the season in the 2023/24 Bundesliga campaign.
The Nigerian striker produced a cheeky piece of skill during Leverkusen’s 3-2 home win against RB Leipzig last August.

Victor Boniface feinted a pass and ultimately tricked his marker into thinking he was going to shoot with his right foot, only to then pass the ball with his left.
The skill went viral on social media and has now been nominated for the best skill of the season in the Bundesliga, alongside other skilful efforts from Andrej Kramaric, Jadon Sancho, Felix Nmecha and Xavi Simons.
Irrespective of where Victor Boniface plays his football next season, Chelsea, Arsenal, PSG, Bayer Leverkusen or a number of other clubs he has been linked with, they are getting a very talented player!
