Nice's president, Jean-Pierre Rivère, expressed his delight with Victor Orakpo's development, stating that the 18-year-old's performances justified a new six months extension to the original deal.
Orakpo started with the Nice reserve team and was soon promoted to the first team as preparations for the new Ligue 1 season began.

Born in 2006 and developed at the VOE Football Academy in Nigeria, Orakpo has attracted attention from top European clubs such as Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

His breakthrough came in an international tournament hosted by Bayern Munich in 2022, where he showcased his talent as part of the World Squad series.
