Victor Osimhen's agent, Roberto Calenda, has swiftly quashed any speculation surrounding the Nigerian striker's departure from Europe this summer, despite a significant offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli.
According to reports by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Al Ahli tabled a bid exceeding €65 million for the Super Eagles forward, with the deal seemingly close to completion. Napoli, who are keen on bringing in Romelu Lukaku, appeared ready to part ways with Osimhen, viewing the Saudi offer as a potential solution.
However, Calenda, in a statement released on X (formerly Twitter), made it clear that his client has no intention of leaving Europe. He emphasized that Osimhen, who recently renewed his contract with Napoli, remains committed to continuing his career on the continent and he should be respected by the Naples based club.
Calenda says respect is pre-requisite for Victor Osimhen transfer
“Victor is not a package to be shipped far away to make room for new prophets. Victor still has so much to do in Europe,” the Italian agent asserted.
“Osimhen is a Napoli player, with a contract recently renewed with mutual satisfaction. He made history, and when there were major offers (also this year), we always accepted the club’s decisions.

“Victor was elected African Footballer of the Year, 8th at the Ballon d’Or. There is a need for respect and balance,” Calenda wrote.
Victor Osimhen, who has attracted interest from elite European clubs, remains at Napoli despite the swirling summer transfer rumors.
The speculation surrounding his future intensified with Romelu Lukaku's potential move to Napoli, sparking reports that Chelsea might target the Nigeria striker as a replacement.
As the transfer window draws to a close, it remains uncertain whether the Stamford Bridge club can finalize a deal for Osimhen before the deadline.
