Bucchi expressed uncertainty about the feasibility of European clubs matching Napoli's valuation for Osimhen, and suggested that remaining with Napoli might not be the worst idea in the world.

“I hope that either he stays at Napoli, where he could grow with Conte, or that some European club can make an important offer. I would tell him to stay at Napoli.”
Bucchi featured for Napoli from 2006 to 2011, making 29 appearances and scoring eight goals. Until February 2023, he served as the manager of Ascoli.
