Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen did not get on the scoresheet but played a key role in Galatasaray’s 2-0 win over Bodrum FK on Friday, April 18, 2025.

Osimhen started the match and was a constant threat to the Bodrum defence, using his pace and movement to stretch the backline as Galatasaray looked to tighten their grip on the top spot.

Though he couldn't find the net, his presence opened up spaces for his teammates.

The breakthrough came in the 29th minute when Lucas Torreira scored after a smart assist from Gabriel Sara to give Gala a deserved lead.

Despite their dominance, that remained the only goal of the first half.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with Galatasaray in control but struggling to convert chances until late on, when Colombian defender Davinson Sánchez added a second goal to seal the win.

Galatasaray are now on 71 points, six ahead of Fenerbahçe, who play on Saturday.

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen started for Galatasaray and put in a solid shift in their 2-0 win over Bodrum FK on Friday night.

He played for 86 minutes before making way for Berkan Kutlu.

Osimhen was active in the final third, registering three shots on target, six off target, and had one shot blocked. He also attempted three dribbles, completing two.

In terms of overall involvement, the Nigerian had 34 touches during the match. He created one key pass, although he also missed four chances.

Passing-wise, he completed 8 of his 14 passes, giving him a 57% success rate.

Osimhen was strong in duels, winning all four aerial battles and three out of four ground duels.

Although he didn’t score, the 26-year-old led the line with purpose and helped Galatasaray extend their lead at the top of the Super Lig table.
