Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis was on the scoresheet as Watford were held to a 2-2 draw by Leeds United in the English Championship on Friday.
The 26-year-old showed great character to beat his man from the right flank before unleashing a shot with his left foot that flew into the bottom corner.
Watford were looking to make it two wins from two matches following their impressive victory over Birmingham City before the March international break.
The Hornets carried their form into Friday's encounter against Leeds United at Vicarage Road and dominated the opening exchanges before taking a deserved lead in the 31st minute through Vakoun Issouf Bayo.
Tom Cleverley’s side, however, could not hold on to their advantage for long, with Crysencio Summerville restoring parity for the visitors just six minutes later. Dennis would put Watford ahead again with a superb left-footed finish right before half-time, but the Hornets were stunned late in the game when Leeds’ Mateo Joseph struck in the 85th minute to ensure the spoils were shared.
Emmanuel Dennis rediscovers scoring touch with two goals in last two matches
Dennis’ strike against Leeds was his second goal in his last two matches, having also netted the winner in Watford’s 1-0 victory against Birmingham City last time out.

The Nigerian is currently on loan at the Championship outfit from parent club Nottingham Forest and seems to have rediscovered his scoring touch after a tough start to the season.
The former Club Brugge forward initially completed a loan move to Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir in September 2023 but Nottingham Forest terminated the move in January after the player made just eight appearances without any goals.
Dennis was subsequently sent on loan to his former club Watford and has since seen his form pick up. The forward has now scored four goals in his last six starts for the Hornets in the Championship.
