‘Abongile Tom, what a servant to Pirates! Bucs won MTN8 because Chiefs did not play’

Published on by

Orlando Pirates controversially beat Stellenbosch to become the first team to win the MTN8 for the third time in a row.

Lehlohonolo Mojela opened the scoring with a beautiful bicycle kick before Monnapule Saleng equalised. Tshegofatso Mabasa scored a contested second goal – after a quickly taken free-kick way out of the allowed three meter-radius, before Relebohile Mofokeng grabbed the third to help the Soweto giants claim a 3-1 win at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The majority of the fans are unhappy with Abongile Tom's officiating; they feel the Buccaneers were helped to set history. Have a look at their arguments.
