After Cele, Chiefs to sign Sithole? Agent confirms Amakhosi interest in Bafana star

Kaizer Chiefs will definitely add more quality players to their squad in the forthcoming transfer window.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi has so far signed 10 players since joining the Glamour Boys at the beginning of the season. The most recent additions are Thabo Cele, Tashreeq Morris, and Glody Lilepo. While Cele and Lilepo have already settled, Morris is still finding his footing and the recent injury has made it even worse for the former SuperSport United man.

Apart from the attacking department, the Glamour Boys are not getting it easy in midfield where they have struggled for consistency.

It explains why the CD Tondela player Sphephelo Sithole, who is on loan at Gil Vicente, has been linked with a move to the Glamour Boys. His Agent Manuel Tomas has revealed the initial conversation with Chiefs and what the future holds for his client.

‘They haven't made an official offer'

“In December, yes, we received some calls from the club [Chiefs]. We don’t know [what’s going to happen], but it’s football. But we don’t have an official offer from Chiefs for Sithole,” he said as quoted by FarPost.

“It was just the talks with the club and the people from the club, but they haven’t made an official offer.

“When the loan ends, we don’t know the future. As he recovers from the injury [sustained in an international outing with Bafana Bafana] when he’s 100%, the future will guide us. We will not force nothing.”

Meanwhile, Chiefs have confirmed the Premier Soccer League match between them and Golden Arrows will now be played on Saturday 29th at the Moses Mabhida Stadium as opposed to the initial date, 30th.
