Agent gives fresh update on Benni McCarthy’s future

The renowned agent Rob Moore has given the latest update on the future of his client Benni McCarthy who’s still unattached after leaving Manchester United.

The 46-year-old coach and United parted ways at the end of the previous season when his contract was not renewed.

When he left United, McCarthy was linked with an unnamed club in the US Major League Soccer. However, nothing has come out of those rumours thus far.

Moore says there have been multiple clubs that have shown interest in acquiring the services of the 2004 UEFA Champions League winner.

AGENT – ‘LOT OF DIFFERENT APPROACHES FOR BENNI’

“There’s been a lot of different approaches for Benni from different clubs all over the world,” his agency Centre Circle confirmed to iDiski Times.

“I think what’s important for us and specifically for him is the right project. When the right project comes, he’ll jump back in but we’re in no rush. I think the next step for Benni is an important one after the great experience he had with United.

“We’re not in any rush and when the time comes and the right project comes to us then we’ll jump right back in.”

Meanwhile, McCarthy was also linked with AmaZulu FC and Mamelodi Sundowns in the PSL.

Moore emphasised that there are still no offers from the Brazilians.

“There’s nothing to consider at the moment because there’s no offer from them, if there is one, he would consider it, but Sundowns is an interesting project,” he added.

“It’s not only about Benni, we’re talking about Ronwen there, they have high ambitions and there’s the FIFA Club World Cup, it’s one of them. As of right now, there’s nothing on the table, so there’s nothing to consider.”
